If you're planning to buy Bungie's upcoming shooter Destiny for last-gen systems, your character data should transfer when you upgrade to a PlayStation 4 or Xbox One. Joystiq's Ludwig Kietzmann's been playing Final Fantasty X again and has chronicled what the JRPG did differently from its many predecessors.Child of Light is an RPG using the Ubisoft tech that powers the recent (gorgeous, excellent) Rayman releases, but, as Susan Arendt writes, the game's charm is mostly superficial.But there's simply no soul in Child of Light, no emotional attachment to keep you pressing on into the darkness. There isn't even a good addictive hook ... It's all lovely and pleasant and well-crafted – and hollow. If you play Child of Light, you will almost assuredly enjoy your time with it, and then put it away and never think about it ever again.
